Disaster Tent Setup Training Was Conducted

Within the scope of the Disaster and Search & Rescue Techniques course, a practical training session was carried out for first-year students of the First and Emergency Aid Program under the supervision of Instructor Sedat Kocaman, aimed at improving students’ field competencies.

As part of the training activities, a hands-on “Disaster Tent Setup” exercise was successfully completed. During the application process, students had the opportunity to translate theoretical knowledge into practice and gain experience in critical skills such as load carrying, support system installation, and risk analysis.

In a controlled simulation environment, scenarios that may be encountered in disaster areas were considered throughout the exercise. Participants also improved their performance in teamwork, rapid decision-making, and adherence to safety protocols. Continuous feedback provided by Instructor Sedat Kocaman throughout the process aimed to enhance students’ technical competencies.
